ATRenew prepares its plan for uninterrupted services during the Chinese New Year holidays. AHS Recycle, the C2B recycling business, keeps its secondhand consumer electronics and key non-electronics new categories recycling business open across all channels while 90% of the standard stores under direct operation keep business as usual throughout public holidays. PJT Marketplace keeps its main functions including B2B bidding, wholesale, retail market and spare stock business running so that business users have access to sufficient supply and demand. Paipai Marketplace adjusts its B2C inventory management and go-to-market strategies for the holiday season, providing quality used goods shopping solutions non-stop.

China Central Television (CCTV) recognizes ATRenew’s business model, supply chain technologies and industry standards
ATRenew’s secondhand consumer electronics recycling and circulation business model was reported by News Channel of CCTV. To highlight, ATRenew’s safe and convenient recycling and trade-in service capabilities are recognized by consumers. Its Dongguan automated operation center, equipped with an independently developed quality inspection system, has also received acknowledgement for advanced efficiency in quality inspection and transaction.

ATRenew interprets inspection standards of used electronics at Reverse Logistics and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Annual Conference
The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Reverse Logistics and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Industry Alliance was held in Shanghai. Two major joint standards were released, namely “Inspection and Grading Specifications for Second-hand Consumer Electronic Products” and “Inspection and Service Specifications for Second-hand Consumer Electronic Products”. ATRenew attended the meeting as the chairman unit of the alliance, and as the co-developer, interpreted the two specifications in detail. The annual meeting is expected to accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of the supply chain and promote the standardized development of the second-hand consumer electronics industry.

IDC reports a rebounding smartphone shipment in China
According to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation (IDC), Chinese smartphone market “is moving towards recovery with the fourth quarter of 2023 delivering year-over-year growth of 1.2% on shipments of 73.6 million units, marking the end of ten consecutive quarters of year-over-year decline. The resilient high-end consumers in the tier 1-3 cities were the key drivers, fueling demand for flagship products,” such as iPhone 15, Huawei Mate 60, Xiaomi 14 and vivo X100, etc. In terms of market share in China, Apple ranked top in smartphone shipment in the fourth quarter and full year of 2023.
