Key highlights
In April, AHS Recycle added a net total of 25 new self-operated stores, expanding its fulfillment network density in high-tier cities such as Shanghai, Chengdu, Xiamen, and Dalian. During the same period, a net total of 51 new franchise standard stores were added, accelerating the offline fulfillment capabilities in mass markets across provinces like Guangdong, Jiangsu, Henan, and Shandong.
On April 14, the Circulation Industry Promotion Center of the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province jointly organized the Green Consumption and Recyclable Resource Circulation Industry Development Event. During the event, the list of national pilot cities and enterprises for secondhand goods circulation was unveiled. ATRenew was named as a pilot enterprise. The pilot program for secondhand goods circulation is jointly organized by the general offices of five departments, including the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission. Focusing on key categories such as used smartphones, clothing, and furniture, the initiative aims to establish a batch of replicable and scalable best practices over three years to promote high-quality development in the secondhand goods circulation industry.
On April 22, “World Earth Day”, AHS Recycle partnered with the environmental NGO “Pick Up China” to take on the challenge of the “Silk Road” desert marathon. Leveraging the operational expertise of AHS Recycle’s “REVIVE” initiative, the event galvanized its employees' passion for environmental protection and sustainable development. By collaborating with eco-influencers, the live-streamed campaign simultaneously raised public awareness about green consumption and the circular economy.
On April 25, the China Resources Recycling Group Greater Bay Area Business Expansion Promotion Conference commenced. During the event, the China Resources Recycling Group Electronic Appliances Co., Ltd. was officially unveiled, simultaneously signing a cooperation agreement with ATRenew. According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the two parties will collaborate on areas including high-quality mobile phone recycling and transactions. Leveraging ATRenew’s nationwide recycling network and advanced inspection technologies, the two parties will jointly build an end-to-end service system encompassing collection, testing, and reuse.

Zero Waste Driving Forces Report reveals that more Gen Z have systematically mastered “3R Principles”
After a four-year interval, the Vanke Foundation and BottleDream have jointly released the latest edition of the Zero Waste Driving Forces Report. Regarding the advancement of zero-waste awareness, while in 2021 most Gen Z individuals associated zero waste with specific actions like the “clean plate dining” or “green commuting,” by 2025, 66% of surveyed respondents have gained a systematic understanding of the “3R Principles” (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle). 41% of the surveyed respondents now prioritize purchasing environmentally friendly and recyclable products when shopping, and 38% of them opt to donate or resell idle belongings.
